I’m Dee Dee, a Strong, Smart & Sassy™ woman who brings out those same qualities in others. For decades, I’ve worked as a leader, speaker, author, and coach, helping women uncover the strength, wisdom, confidence, and authenticity that have been within them all along.

Women often come to me feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, under-recognized, or unsure of what’s next. Together, we create space for them to breathe, reset, grow, and reclaim a leadership presence that is unmistakably theirs.

What I Believe

I believe every woman already has tremendous strength and brilliance within her; sometimes she just needs the right guide, structure, and support to see it clearly. My approach is grounded in three essential truths:

Strong - You have more courage and inner strength than you realize—and you can meet any moment with confidence.
Smart -  Your values, insight, and intuition are powerful tools that can guide your choices and shape your path.
Sassy - Your voice, authenticity, and boldness matter. When you show up fully as yourself, everything changes.

This is the heart of the Strong, Smart & Sassy™ Method, and the foundation of every coaching relationship I build. Nothing brings me more joy than watching a woman step into her power, use her voice, and lead with authenticity and confidence.

A Bit More About Me

  • Owner of JourneyWorks, a speaking and consulting practice founded in 1996. The firm focuses on customer service, staff and leadership development, presented in a fun, interactive style.
  • Member of the National Speakers Association and a Distinguished Toastmaster.
  • Author of
  • Graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Journalism.
  • Served as Director of Sales and Marketing for the South Dakota Department of Tourism and Vice President of Marketing Development at BankWest.
  • Served as a board member for the Cheyenne, WY, chamber of commerce, symphony orchestra, United Way, and Library Foundation.
  • Served as a library trustee for Siouxland Libraries in Sioux Falls, SD.​
